Application Procedure

To become a Bacton Agent Principal, shippers must sign the Bacton Principals Agreement. Becoming a Principal allows the shipper to carry out transactions across the NTS/Interconnector interface.

Shippers may also become Members (equivalent to shareholders) of the company. Members of the Bacton Agent Company are Principals, but also have a say in how much the company spends and in the development of business rules for the Agent to follow.

There is no cost for joining BAC as a Member, however, there may be indirect costs in attending quarterly meetings and reading papers and there is a potential liability of up to £100 as part of the guarantee.

Steps to becoming signing up to the Bacton Agency Agreement:

1. Fill out the online application form.
2. You will be sent in the post a copy of all the agreements ready to sign.
3. Once all the forms have been filled in, contracts signed and documents returned, moving from Applicant to Principal takes around 2 weeks to process.
